Rebecca Gayheart split from Hard Rock mogul Peter Morton

Rebecca Gayheart and Hard Rock founder Peter Morton quietly split in April 2025, parting ways before the death of her husband Eric Dane. The pair were first linked in 2023 when they were photographed on a double date with Claudia Schiffer and Matthew Vaughn in Los Angeles.

They were last seen holding hands and sharing a kiss outside E-Baldi in Beverly Hills in December, but those who know them say the encounter was not a date — they had run into each other and ended up catching up. Friends describe the two as still friendly.

Gayheart was married to Eric Dane from 2004 until his death in February. The couple had been separated and Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018, a filing she dismissed last March after Dane’s diagnosis. She later wrote about their relationship in The Cut, saying, “Eric knows that I am always going to want the best for him,” and, “We wanna take advantage of the time that he has right now.”

She was also seen this week with her daughters at the Los Angeles premiere of The Drama.
