Red rash appears on President Trump’s neck at White House ceremony
President Donald Trump appeared at a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House on Monday. Photographs showed a large red rash on the right side of his neck, with peeling, bumpy skin and what looked like a small blister.
After an image was shared online by independent journalist Aaaron Rupar, people began comparing the blotch to infections seen in Resident Evil and The Last of Us.
Some commenters joked that the president might need a green herb or that someone should call Leon S. Kennedy, drawing on references to fictional outbreaks.
Update: 3/2/26, 4:35 p.m. ET: The White House put out a statement about the rash: "President Trump is using a very common cream on the right side of his neck, which is a preventative skin treatment, prescribed by the White House Doctor. The President is using this treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks."
