Redknapp warns Spurs are 'favourites to go down' as calls grow for his return
Ex-Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has suggested Spurs are now "favourites to go down" after a string of disastrous results. They slumped to an abject 3-1 home defeat against Crystal Palace, leaving them just a single point above the drop zone. Speaking to talkSPORT, Redknapp delivered a grim verdict: "It was another disaster, I mean four or five weeks ago I couldn't really see Tottenham being involved in a relegation scrap, you know every week that's gone by it's got worse.
But Tottenham are bang in it now, in trouble, they're looking like they could even be favourites to go down, it is that desperate." His comments come as Spurs sit only one point ahead of both Nottingham Forest and West Ham. Several pundits, including ex-Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara, have urged Redknapp to return as a short-term saviour.
O'Hara said: "You need someone at that football club who cares about it... I reckon Harry Redknapp should get a phone call.
