If you have limited free time, Reservation Dogs is an ideal weekend binge. The three-season Hulu dramedy runs 28 half-hour episodes, making it easy to finish yet satisfying. It arrived on Hulu in 2021 and wrapped up in 2023, earning five Emmy nominations and consistently landing on lists of the best television shows.

Created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, the series follows four Indigenous teenagers living on a reservation in Oklahoma who call themselves the Rez Dogs. They get into plenty of mischief inspired by Reservoir Dogs, but the group also grapples with grief after their friend Daniel died by suicide a year earlier and with whether to pursue his dream of moving to California.

The show blends comedy with magical realism: Bear, played by D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, is followed by the ghost of an ancestor played by Dallas Goldtooth. Season 3 includes a standout episode featuring Deer Lady (Kaniehtiio Horn) that examines storytelling traditions alongside the horrifying history of American Indian boarding schools.
