Capcom revealed that Resident Evil Requiem has sold 6 million units, “the fastest that a title in the series has reached this milestone.”

The game has received glowing reviews and sits at “Overwhelmingly positive” on Steam. It pulled in 270,000 players in the first two hours after release—the most of any Resident Evil release—and later reached a peak player count of 344,214.

Capcom said it will provide ongoing support and additional content. Director Koshi Nakanishi has announced a photo mode and a new minigame due sometime in May, and work on DLC has already begun, though “it will take some time, so we ask for your patience and hope you'll look forward to it.” The company also noted the series will celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 22, 2026, with plans including a collaboration between Universal Studios Japan and Resident Evil Requiem and orchestral concerts in Japan, the US, and Europe.
