There’s a Game-Long Resident Evil Requiem Puzzle No One’s Been Able To Solve
Resident Evil Requiem is full of puzzles, but the most elaborate one has so far resisted solution even after reviewers had early access. I didn’t notice the so-called “Final Puzzle” during my own playthroughs. The hidden sequence begins near the end of the first act: while exploring Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center as Grace, you flee The Girl and the creature loses one of its hands.
Picking up the severed hand is optional and it appears to have no use at first. If you take it to a microscope in the Blood Lab or the West Wing’s Office and scan it like other blood samples, the game displays: “Let’s play. GGC AAG AUA ACG UGU CAU”. The string reads like an RNA sequence and seems to point to a clue tied to a code-locked safe you’ve already opened elsewhere, but the puzzle keeps unfolding with further hints that require knowledge outside the game.
IGN’s guide is periodically updating as new leads emerge, and its team is still working through the mystery alongside players now that the game is out.
