Resident Evil Requiem sells over five million copies after launch
The ninth mainline Resident Evil has sold more than five million copies since its release on February 27, not counting the series' numerous spin-offs and remakes.
It recorded the series' biggest-ever launch on Steam, surpassing Resident Evil 4 Remake's launch by about 100,000 concurrent players. That is a strong performance for a singleplayer game, and the title remains at the top of Steam's Global Top Sellers list.
Although more people are currently spending on Counter-Strike 2 gun skins, Requiem is the top paid game on the chart, closing in on a week after launch.
