Over the past week, players have been scrambling to work out the solution to Resident Evil Requiem’s “Final Puzzle,” a challenge unlocked after completing the game but otherwise obscured from view. The solution was datamined yesterday, yet fans still lacked a clear picture of how the game itself tries to clue players in and what steps the puzzle requires.

Community efforts have filled that gap with a concise video walkthrough that shows every step and points out extremely easy-to-miss clues. Hints are tucked into documents you collect, small environmental details, and items that only make sense once you realise they belong to the puzzle.

Some of the necessary clues appear in later segments of the game, after the areas where you put that information to use, so a player relying solely on in-game hints would need to see the game through at least once to solve it.
