The Man in the High Castle, executive-produced by Ridley Scott and adapted from Philip K. Dick’s novel, imagines an alternate reality in which Germany and Japan won World War II. The series ran for four seasons from 2015 to 2019, unfolding in a retro‑futuristic, 1960s‑inspired world shaped by George Orwell’s ideas about totalitarianism.

The cast includes Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Rufus Sewell and Bella Heathcote. Critical response was largely positive: the show holds an overall 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with Season 1 earning a Certified Fresh 95%, Season 2 at 64%, and Seasons 3 and 4 at 82% and 86%, respectively.

Streaming platforms often boost a series’ profile by offering a sampler on another service, a tactic AMC used when it streamed earlier seasons of Breaking Bad on Netflix. In that vein, the first three seasons of the Prime Video series debuted on Netflix on March 11.
