Ridley Scott’s $403.4 Million Sci-Fi Epic Dominates Netflix Worldwide

Nearly 15 years after it first hit theaters and sparked online debate, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has returned to the top spot on Netflix worldwide, with FlixPatrol listing it as the platform’s #1 movie. Scott’s divisive sci-fi epic revisits the universe he helped create with Alien but pivots toward creation myths and existential questions.

The plot follows a team of scientists who discover a star map pointing to the Engineers; their expedition aboard the ship Prometheus quickly spirals into cosmic horror. Noomi Rapace stars as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, with Michael Fassbender as the unnervingly calm android David, alongside Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Guy Pearce.
