Rihanna shooting suspect was arrested for attacking ex in front of their child

Ivanna Ortiz, 35, was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing roughly 10 rounds from an AR-15–style rifle at Rihanna’s $14 million Los Angeles home. The shots were reportedly fired from a car across the street; no one was injured and Ortiz was later charged with attempted murder.

Rihanna, who shares the residence with partner A$AP Rocky and their three young children, is taking extra security precautions, including rescheduling a photoshoot. Nearly three years earlier, Ortiz was arrested in June 2023 and charged with battery (domestic violence) after an incident outside her Orlando apartment involving her ex-husband, identified as John Doe, and their daughter.
