Rizzoli & Isles Still Holds Up a Decade Later

TNT's Rizzoli & Isles ran for seven seasons and is now available to stream on Netflix. Based on Tess Gerritsen's crime novels, the series follows Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and forensic pathologist Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander), who are best friends and partners in solving murders.

The series kicks off when a new murder bears the signature of serial killer Charles Hoyt (Michael Massee), who once abducted Jane and nearly killed her; Hoyt is in prison, but the case suggests someone close to him knew details only an insider would. Each episode pairs Jane and Maura with their colleagues Vince Korsak (Bruce Travis McGill) and Barry Frost (Lee Thompson Young) as they investigate grisly, often disturbing homicides.
