Roblox demo appears to copy Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

The Roblox Corporation unveiled a new "real-time, action conditioned world model," a generative AI tool for producing interactable videos that closely resembles Google’s Project Genie, which launched last week. While Project Genie was criticized for reusing Mario and Zelda elements, Roblox’s demo seemed to reproduce elements from 2025’s Game of the Year.

The company said, "We see several immediate uses for our Roblox world model," and showed what many described as an ugly-looking version of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as an example. The world model reveal was presented as an addendum to a separate announcement about "4D generation" for the Cube Foundation Model, a feature the company says will let "creators and players to generate fully functional objects" that can be ported into Roblox.
