Romano: Dembele meeting with Man City not about transfer
Speculation grew after Moussa Sissoko, agent of Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele, met Manchester City's sporting director Hugo Viana in Madrid. The encounter prompted questions about the forward's future at Paris Saint-Germain. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano clarified the meeting was not about a potential deal for Dembele and that there are "no talks or contacts at this stage." He suggested the encounter may have involved other clients or business.
Dembele's contract with the European champions runs until 2028, but his representative has reportedly been exploring options amid stalled extension talks. PSG view his renewal as a priority and would not let their superstar leave easily. PSG are pushing ahead with other renewals: Fabian Ruiz's deal is reportedly finalised, Bradley Barcola's is nearing completion, and there is a "sort of agreement in principle" with Luis Enrique to 2030.
