Cristiano Ronaldo has been tipped to leave Al-Nassr in the summer if Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah moves to the Saudi Pro League. His future at the club is in doubt after a protest against the Public Investment Fund over transfers, and he has been left out of his club's last two league matches.

The 41-year-old has reportedly gone on strike after seeing title rivals Al-Hilal, who are also owned by the PIF, strengthen by bringing in Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad. Benzema scored a hat-trick on his Al-Hilal debut, while Ronaldo missed games against Al-Ittihad and Al-Riyadh.

The Saudi Pro League has warned that each club operates independently and that recruitment decisions sit with clubs within an approved financial framework. Former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood says this will be Ronaldo's least season in Saudi and that Salah will replace him.
