Rosanna Arquette defends Daryl Hannah over 'Love Story' portrayal
Rosanna Arquette wrote on Instagram that she loves Daryl Hannah and called the streaming series' portrayal of her friend "bulls–t." Arquette said Hannah's love with John F. Kennedy Jr. was real and among some of the happiest times he had — "Just ask his family.
But no one did." Arquette, 66, described Hannah, 65, as "a great woman, a great actor, writer, director and activist for the environment," adding that "she is also an animal whisperer" and that "her work in the world has been epic." She posted the comments after Hannah criticized the Ryan Murphy-produced series that dramatizes the on-again, off-again romance from 1988 to 1994 before Kennedy moved on with Carolyn Bessette.
Hannah, portrayed by Dree Hemingway, wrote an essay for the New York Times calling the production exploitation and saying it features a character using her name and presenting her as herself.
