Rose Byrne Can, and Does, Do It All
Rose Byrne, an Oscar nominee for her harrowing turn as Linda in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You — a performance that sees the character endure a mysteriously ill child, a surly absentee husband, a malevolent hamster and a cosmic black hole in her bedroom ceiling — is shifting gears this spring.
Seeking a lighter register while awards season continues, she is preparing to appear in a Broadway revival of Noël Coward’s 1925 comedy Fallen Angels at the Roundabout’s Todd Haimes Theater, with performances set to begin March 27 and run through early June alongside Kelli O’Hara, Tracee Chimo and Mark Consuelos.
“The delight of trying to bring a farcical comedy to the stage felt like such an opportunity and a lovely antidote creatively,” Byrne said, noting she last performed onstage six years ago in Medea.
