Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior faces a defensive crisis after a tough night at Stamford Bridge ended in a 3-0 Champions League defeat by Paris Saint-Germain. Trevoh Chalobah was stretchered off late on, forcing the hosts to finish with 10 men after all five substitutes had been used.

Rosenior said he had spoken with the medical team and was told Chalobah has a high ankle sprain. "I'm praying it's nothing too serious because we can't lose another defender," he said. The setback is compounded by the prior absences of right-backs Reece James and Malo Gust.

The 3-0 loss confirmed an 8-2 aggregate defeat, the heaviest in the club's history in the knockout stages, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu on the scoresheet. Rosenior criticised the team's mistakes in the final third and noted Barcola's long-range strike that shifted momentum in PSG's favour.
