Rotta the Hutt appears surprisingly jacked in new image
A new official image offers the clearest look yet at Jeremy Allen White's Rotta the Hutt, revealing a surprisingly muscular take on the character. The image arrives after a debunked fake that circulated online. Unlike his father, whose decadence and ruthless reputation are well known, Rotta is depicted as a hardcore fighter, wielding double axes and sporting shredded abs that seem to stretch down his tail.
"There's a little bit of Huttese," White teases of the role. "My speaking voice changes [as Rotta]. It was helpful, of course, to listen to Jabba." Rotta first appeared as a child in the Clone Wars animated movie, where Count Dooku kidnaps him as part of a plan to turn the Hutts and the Republic against each other—a conspiracy ultimately thwarted by the Jedi.
As the new image shows, he's grown from a li'l guy into an absolute unit and seems willing to get his own hands dirty instead of just throwing opponents into the Sarlacc mouth. The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters this May 22.
