Firewalla sells compact firewall hardware designed to give both experienced admins and beginners a simpler way to take control of a network without a steep learning curve. The Orange is a palm-sized, all-in-one smart router/firewall with two 2.5G Ethernet ports, a quad-core Arm processor, 2GB of RAM and Wi‑Fi 7 support.

It provides protection from cyberattacks, traffic visibility, content and ad filtering, and a built-in VPN server suitable for home, office or remote work. Built as a redesign of the earlier Purple to address tariffs and component shortages, the Orange runs the same software and keeps the same features while being slightly larger, using a bit more power and offering faster, scalable Wi‑Fi.

Setup is app-based and straightforward; the unit can be powered by any 15W-or-higher USB-C charger or power bank, handle captive portals and be used with networks such as Starlink, all without a monthly subscription.
