A gaming laptop offering 32 GB of RAM prompted a double-take during a weekly bargain hunt; such configurations have become increasingly rare.

There is a small CPU caveat: the Ryzen AI 9 365 is a 10-core chip with four Zen 5 cores and six Zen 5c cores. It sits on the more efficient end of AMD's laptop CPU lineup but should still perform adequately for gaming.

GPU specs carry more weight for modern play, and this model pairs a 115 W RTX 5070 mobile GPU with the Omen 16's 16-inch, 1600p IPS panel at 240 Hz. The machine will benefit from DLSS to reach higher frame rates, and while the screen isn't OLED, a good IPS panel still looks strong when the hardware can keep up.

The laptop also ships with 32 GB of DDR5-5600 MT/s memory, a spec that's become nearly impossible to find in sub-$1,500 gaming laptops. The chassis is discreet enough for work, and HP notes only a few remain, suggesting this could be a clearance of leftover stock before pricier models arrive.
