I said "No way" when I realised this gaming laptop deal had returned. $1,299 was a fantastic price for an RTX 5070 Ti machine before the memory crisis and dwindling stock ravaged the gaming laptop market; in 2026 it still feels almost unbelievable. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5-5600 and a 1 TB SSD — amounts that are fine for a modern laptop and increasingly rare without large premiums.

The real draw is the processor, GPU, and display: a Dragon Range chip of the previous AMD generation, a 16-core, 32-thread CPU with serious amounts of grunt for gaming, content creating, or other tasks. The GPU is the 140 W variant of the RTX 5070 Ti mobile, offering the graphical horsepower to handle high settings in demanding games with some DLSS involvement and well suited to a 1600p display.

The screen is a 240 Hz IPS panel; it isn’t the prettiest we've seen, but it’s certainly plenty speedy, and the same panel and chassis appeared in the Intel-chipped, RTX 5080 variant review.
