Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Share Kiss in First TV Appearance in Over a Decade

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes made their first TV appearance together in more than a decade on the March 5 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Gosling revealed it was his wife's birthday, saying, "It is Eva's birthday today," while sitting next to Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon added, "She has no idea we're doing this," and Gosling asked the audience, "Would you, if I get her, would you sing 'Happy Birthday' to her?" Cameras captured someone retrieving Mendes from backstage and escorting her to the studio, and as she approached Gosling joked, "Now here's the thing, you might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow." Mendes joined Gosling and Fallon on stage, where he greeted her with, "Hi, sweetheart." Gosling and Fallon had recruited the North Bergen High School marching band from New Jersey to perform "Happy Birthday to You," complete with a confetti finale.

Fallon told Mendes, "That's all him," and she planted a kiss on Gosling's cheek.
