Ryan Gosling hosted his fourth Saturday Night Live episode on March 7, and his monologue quickly became a team effort when Harry Styles showed up in the front row. "I just wish someone would have told me. That's, uh, anyway, welcome!" Gosling said, before deadpanning, "Uh, I have a new movie coming out.

It's called Project Harry Style—nope," as Styles slipped into a split-screen and a proper cover of "Sign of the Times" never materialized (which may or may not appear in Gosling's new film Project Hail Mary). The night included genuinely spontaneous moments, like when Gosling's pal Mikey Day surprised him with a peck on the cheek, and later giggly exchanges between the two.

Other highlights featured Ashley Padilla gasping for breath as she read newly replaced insults aloud, and a hilariously surreal parody commercial for Otezla. Cold-open sketches and character pieces peppered the show.
