Sadie Sink, who plays Max on Stranger Things, said on The Tonight Show that she believes Eleven is dead at the end of the series.

"I think she's dead, I don't know," Sink says in the clip referenced by Mashable, prompting groans from the audience. She added, "Is that like a hot take or something? I think Mike's story is just one last story, and then they say goodbye to childhood. But that's just one final tale. And that's it. I think it's just like a coping thing."

The show itself leaves Eleven's fate open to interpretation, and Mashable notes that the upcoming Netflix documentary One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 may provide clearer answers.
