Salesforce unveiled a new Slackbot AI agent built into Slack, which the company said is now generally available. Salesforce also said the experience is rolling out to Business+ and Enterprise+ customers starting today.

The company says Slackbot uses the context of conversations, files, channels and more to answer questions about workflows and to take actions from a single text prompt. Slackbot can, according to the company, find time on calendars and schedule meetings, draft meeting notes, project briefs and other documents, and surface curated answers rather than simple search results.

Salesforce added that the experience requires no training and is designed to adapt to users' preferences and communication styles. Users can also connect Slackbot to Salesforce data to discuss metrics, enabling briefings or materials that reflect client conversations alongside actual data points.

On security, Salesforce said Slackbot offers "enterprise-grade trust," only accessing content with the permission it is granted and keeping data protected "in accordance with Slack's security and compliance standards." The company said rollout to eligible Business+ and Enterprise+ customers begins today.
