Samantha Jordan Podell and Robert Nathan Mitchell were married on Jan. 10 in the Terrace Room at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan in front of 300 guests. Rabbi Angela Buchdahl of Central Synagogue officiated; Mr. Mitchell entered to "You’ve Got a Friend in Me" by Randy Newman and Frank Sinatra’s "(Theme From) New York, New York" played during the recessional.

The couple met on the Jewish dating app Lox Club in February 2021 — each other’s first match — and discovered they had more than a dozen mutual friends and had both spent much of the pandemic in Boca Raton, Fla. Their first date was drinks at Baby Brasa in the West Village, followed by brunch at La Pecora Bianca in SoHo; about a month into dating Mr.

Mitchell asked Ms. Podell to be his girlfriend. They moved into an apartment in Chelsea in July 2023, and Mr. Mitchell proposed in January 2025 in their apartment with a diamond ring set in rose gold. Mr. Mitchell is a vice president at Morgan Stanley and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison; Ms.

Podell is a private banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and has a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt. The reception in the Grand Ballroom featured a black-and-white color scheme and a dirty martini as the signature drink; Ms.
