Samara Weaving and Jason Segel’s Romantic Getaway Turns Murderous

Jorma Taccone returns to filmmaking after a decade away with Over Your Dead Body, a 2026 action comedy-thriller starring Jason Segel and Samara Weaving. The English-language remake of Tommy Wirkola’s 2021 film The Trip follows a couple whose romantic cabin getaway devolves into a deadly contest: both partners have come hoping to murder the other, and when their plans surface chaos ensues.

The cast includes Juliette Lewis, Timothy Olyphant, Keith Jardine and Paul Guilfoyle. The film is directed by Taccone, runs 165 minutes, and is slated for a theatrical debut on April 24, 2026. A new image from the film shows Weaving’s character bruised and bloodied, dressed in black and sitting in a basement flanked by Lewis and Olyphant’s weapon-wielding characters.

Footage seen in the trailer suggests other figures get pulled into the mayhem, though loyalties remain unclear.
