Samsung phones hide a Connectivity Labs menu with advanced Wi‑Fi tools
Samsung buries a hidden Connectivity Labs menu in its One UI interface that unlocks advanced Wi‑Fi tools on Galaxy S20 series phones and newer models. The menu is intended for users who want deeper network diagnostics and control. To access it you need a Samsung phone running One UI 6 or later.
Open Settings → Connections → Wi‑Fi → the three dots → Intelligent Wi‑Fi, then tap the Intelligent Wi‑Fi software version seven times (for example, "Intelligent Wi‑Fi 8.0.0") to reveal Connectivity Labs at the bottom of the page. The menu shows details such as current access point, how long connections have been active, and which Wi‑Fi bands and standards you have been using.
Features described include a Home Wi‑Fi inspection walkaround that maps signal drop‑offs and spikes, an Auto reconnect to carrier Wi‑Fi option to prefer carrier hotspots, and support for L4S (Low Latency, Low Loss, Scalable Throughput) to reduce latency where both device and router support it.
The guide also covers Intelligent Wi‑Fi Handover and a mobile‑data switching option (the author said the AI switching option did not improve performance in their testing), plus network‑quality labels, Nearby Wi‑Fi signal diagrams, channel utilization and best‑channel recommendations.
