Sarah Michelle Gellar returned to the supernatural with 2023's Wolf Pack, an eight-episode streaming series that built an engaging mystery and left viewers wanting more. The show marked a notable genre revisit for Gellar, who had largely avoided supernatural roles since her brief Angel appearance after Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The premiere opens with a forest fire driving panicked wildlife toward a road, and the terrified animals hint at something unnatural behind them. Two students, Everett and Blake, are bitten during the chaos and begin changing: faster, stronger and mysteriously linked to one another.

They soon meet twins Harlan and Luna, born as werewolves, who explain the phenomenon and warn that a murderous werewolf—whom they believe to be their father—is coming for them, guided in part by an anonymous caller. Gellar plays arson investigator Kristin Ramsey and is paired with Garrett, the twins' adoptive father, as the adults try to uncover who started the fire and keep the teens safe.
