A Satoshi-era Bitcoin wallet that had been dormant for nearly 14 years moved a token amount from its 2,100 BTC holding, worth about $148 million at current market prices. Data from mempool.space shows roughly $47 was sent from address "1NB3Z…QB6ZX" to a new address on Friday at 10:27am UTC.

The wallet purchased the 2,100 BTC in July 2012 at about $6.50 per coin, spending roughly $13,685, Whale Alert noted, which means the holder’s position has risen more than 1,000,000% since then. Small transfers like this are often used to confirm control of funds rather than to signal an immediate sale, but traders track whale activity closely because large holders can influence market liquidity and sentiment.

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan has said Satoshi-era wallets helped contribute to selling pressure after the Oct. 10 flash crash, when Bitcoin fell from over $120,000 to about $102,000 and nearly $19 billion in leveraged positions were wiped out.
