Savannah Guthrie will remain off the "Today" show for the foreseeable future as the search for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, enters its 15th day. The journalist, 54, is still in Tucson, Ariz., where authorities continue to search. NBC and the "Today" team have rallied around her, giving Guthrie time and support; colleagues say they "all pray constantly" for a resolution.

Her contract is coming up for renewal, and earlier reporting said she had well more than a year left on a $7 million-a-year deal, but those close to her call it hurtful to discuss her professional future at a time like this. Hoda Kotb will again occupy the anchor chair this week, having stayed in the U.S.

rather than flying to Milan for the Winter Olympics, as did Craig Melvin. Guthrie’s representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Nancy Guthrie was last seen on Jan. 31 after being dropped off at her Tucson home by her daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni.
