Savannah Guthrie offers $1M reward as search for her mother enters day 24
Savannah Guthrie and her family are offering up to $1 million for information that leads to the safe return of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for 24 days in a suspected kidnapping. The family said the reward is intended to “help stimulate or further incentivize” a lead from someone who has so far been reluctant to come forward, and that the decision followed advice to delay an incentive early on to avoid overwhelming the system set up to field tips, tens of thousands of which had been coming in organically.
The family acted after careful consultation and in coordination with law enforcement and remains in lock step with authorities, a source said. Former CIA member and FBI special agent Tracy Walder said the Guthries “want their mom back. And they’re going to do everything they can.” In a video posted on her Instagram marking day 24, Guthrie tearfully acknowledged that her mother “may already be gone” while urging the public to keep praying and to “please keep praying without ceasing.
We still believe.
