Savannah Guthrie visited the TODAY studio on March 5 to see colleagues for the first time since her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing. It was her first time in the studio since an on-air appearance on January 30, two days before the family reported Nancy missing on February 1.

The meeting was not on-air, but Guthrie spoke to staff and offered an update on how she is coping. "I wanted you to know that I'm still standing, and I still have hope, and I'm still me," she said. "I'm holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, 'Where else would I go?'" Guthrie told colleagues she intends to come back to the show.

"I have every intention of coming back," she said. "I don't know how to come back, but I don't know how not to. You're my family. And I would like to try." No date has been set for her return; Jenna Bush Hager described Guthrie hugging every person in the studio and said the visit felt good.
