Savannah Guthrie makes urgent public plea as search for her mother continues
Savannah Guthrie is pleading for the public's help as the search for her mother continues into its ninth day. "We are at an hour of desperation, and we need your help," she said in a new Instagram video posted on Monday. Her mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing by family on February 1 after she was last seen the night before when they dropped her off at home following a dinner.
Local authorities say she is limited in her mobility, relies on medication, and believe she was taken "against her will" from her ranch-style home just outside Tucson in the Catalina Foothills. Savannah Guthrie called the situation a "nightmare" and urged anyone who sees or hears anything unusual to contact law enforcement.
"We believe our mom is still out there. We need your help," she said, adding that she was asking for more than prayers and requesting reports from people even far from Tucson.
