An unearthed audio recording filed by Blake Lively’s legal team features Wayfarer co-founder Steve Sarowitz praising Scarlett Johansson and contrasting his experience working with her to his experience with Lively. In the recording, Sarowitz described Johansson as "so cool, calm, collected and confident … and nice," and said Lively was "totally different," according to the filing.

Sarowitz worked with Johansson on her directorial debut, "Eleanor the Great," released last September. The recording was made by filmmaker Claire Ayoub, who previously worked with Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer on their 2024 film "Empire Waist." Ayoub had submitted a declaration in September 2025 alleging she faced "repeated, negative interactions" and "verbal abuse" from Baldoni and Wayfarer.

Lively filed a formal lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024 alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and lost wages; Baldoni responded with a $400 million countersuit that was later tossed.
