When 'Scarpetta' Releases on Prime Video

Nicole Kidman stars as Kay Scarpetta, a forensic pathologist who uses high-tech methods and keen observational skills to solve a series of grisly crimes across the American South. Off duty, Kay spends time with her volatile sister Dorothy (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Dorothy's bright daughter Lucy (Ariana DeBose).

The show is based on Patricia Cornwell's bestselling Scarpetta novels and on the real-life Virginia chief medical examiner Marcella Farinelli Fierro. Scarpetta is told across two timelines, past and present, and follows Kay as a nagging investigation pulls her back to her hometown and sends her from Florida to Virginia and South Carolina to unravel a crime dating to the 1990s.

Three Oscar winners lead the cast, with David Gordon Green executive producing and directing the first two episodes; Bobby Cannavale and Simon Baker also appear.
