Arnold Schwarzenegger said Fox Studios has “rediscovered” him and that he’s been sent a script for Commando 2, while Christopher McQuarrie is attached to a new Conan. Most notably, the actor revealed he has discussed with director Dan Trachtenberg the possibility of returning as Dutch in a new Predator film.

Dutch Schaefer remains one of Schwarzenegger’s most enduring roles. Predator (1987) mixes action and sci‑fi horror, with Dutch leading a rescue team in Central America alongside characters such as Al Dillon and Blain Cooper, and memorable lines like Blain’s “I ain't got time to bleed.” At nearly 80, a straight‑up live‑action comeback as a frontline brawler would be difficult to sell.

Predator: Killer of Killers sets up an alternative, however, ending with past winners held in suspended animation by the Yautja — a premise that could return Dutch as he was rather than as an elderly fighter. That route would also open the door for Schwarzenegger to contribute in a new way.
