Scott Grimes: Susan's Absence Throws Bennett Household Into Chaos

Peacock has returned with new episodes of Ted for the first time in two years. The R-rated spinoff follows Seth MacFarlane's wisecracking teddy bear and Max Burkholder's younger John Bennett, and Season 2 takes a sharp turn when Alanna Ubach's Susan Bennett goes to jail after taking the fall for one of John and Ted's mistakes in Episode 7, "Susan is the New Black." Ubach said filming on location was a change of pace: "It was great for everyone, because the rest of the crew and the rest of the cast got to rest for two weeks, and I got to be out of the studio.

We were filming on location for a couple of weeks, and that was a lot of fun." She also praised her castmates and described the friendships they formed, noting, "we're all on WhatsApp, and we're constantly texting each other and stuff." Scott Grimes credited Ubach for carrying the episode and highlighted how the Bennett household unravels without Susan.
