Scream 7 writer-director bringing Universal monsters to Netflix

Kevin Williamson, writer and director of Scream 7, is developing a Netflix series that brings Frankenstein's monster, the Wolf Man, Dracula and other classic Universal monsters to television.

He says Netflix and Universal allowed him to direct Scream 7 and put some projects on hold, and now he is focused on those projects. "The one I'm writing right now is a show. You might call it an adult Vampire Diaries. It's based in the Universal monster land."

He adds, "I get to play with some of those characters like Dracula and Frankenstein and The Wolf Man and have fun there."
