Nottingham Forest have sacked Sean Dyche after 114 days in charge following a goalless draw with rock-bottom Wolves. The club said it had parted company with Dyche and is searching for a fourth permanent manager this season, with Vitor Pereira being viewed as a leading contender.

Dyche, who had once been part of the club's youth set-up under Brian Clough, was appointed in October and was Forest’s third head coach since the start of the campaign. Nuno Espirito Santo was relieved of his duties on September 9 and Ange Postecoglou lasted 39 days without a win across eight games before departing.

Dyche managed 25 games, winning 10. The draw with Wolves, in which Forest registered 35 attempts without scoring, prompted owner Evangelos Marinakis to act. The club issued a brief statement thanking Dyche and his staff and said it would make no further comment at this time.
