Selena Gomez posts makeup-free selfie after Rare Beauty events

People reports that Selena Gomez shared a makeup-free selfie on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Jan. 16.

In the photo, Gomez, 33, wears a white tank top with her hair slicked back into a bun and smiles while lounging against a blush pink backdrop. She posted the snap after sharing a series of glam shots from a Rare Beauty and Tezza collaboration event; the joint product, Warm Wishes Soft Matte Powder Bronzer, dropped Thursday, Jan. 15. Gomez also hosted a launch event for Rare Beauty on Jan. 14, and when she first launched the brand in 2020 she said she wanted people to start "embracing our own uniqueness," adding, "You’re not defined by a photo, a like or a comment."

The collaboration and recent posts come shortly after Gomez attended the Golden Globes on Jan. 11 with her Only Murders in the Building costars; she was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series — Music or Comedy, an award Jean Smart won. After the ceremony, Gomez and husband Benny Blanco joined Martin Short, Steve Martin and executive producers Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal for dinner at Max & Helen’s, where she captioned an Instagram Stories snap, "Breakfast for dinner after globes." All six dinner guests were in black tie outfits, with Gomez and her music producer husband in coordinating Old Hollywood-inspired looks.
