Ahead of the new Spider-Man installment, one of Tom Holland’s earlier films has re-emerged on streaming charts. Seven years after its release, the animated comedy Spies in Disguise has broken into Disney+’s U.S. top ten, featuring Holland alongside Will Smith, Rashida Jones and Rachel Brosnahan.

The film was directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane, who later collaborated on the Academy Award-nominated Nimona. Critics and audiences have warmed to the film: it carries a "certified fresh" 77% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience score. The site’s consensus reads, "A cheerfully undemanding animated adventure that's elevated by its voice cast, Spies in Disguise is funny, fast-paced, and family-friendly enough to satisfy." Spies in Disguise follows super spy Lance Sterling and scientist Walter Beckett, an odd couple forced to rely on one another when events upend their partnership and threaten the world.

The film was released December 25, 2019, runs 102 minutes, and was written by Brad Copeland and Lloyd Taylor.
