Real Steel, Shawn Levy’s 2011 sci‑fi sports drama starring Hugh Jackman, is now available to stream for free on Tubi as of March 1. The cast also includes Evangeline Lily, Anthony Mackie and young actor Dakota Goyo.

The story follows Charlie Kenton (Jackman), a former prizefighter who loses his shot when towering robots take over the ring. Down on his luck, he reluctantly teams with his estranged son Max (Goyo) to build and train a championship robot for one last chance at redemption.

The film earned $300 million worldwide against a $110 million budget and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects. With a 60 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, many viewers highlight Jackman’s earnest performance and his chemistry with Goyo as the emotional core of the picture.
