Sherwood: 'He looks lost' — Tudor criticised for 'nonsense' approach
Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood launched a scathing attack on interim boss Igor Tudor, saying the Croatian looks completely "lost" in the Premier League and urging him to abandon harsh methods for a more supportive approach to try to keep the team up. Tudor was appointed as interim boss in early February but the expected new-manager bounce has failed to materialise.
Spurs sit 16th with 29 points from 29 matches, one point above Nottingham Forest and West Ham, have lost their last five matches, and Tudor has lost all three of his games in charge. Sherwood warned that the reality of the Premier League has caught Tudor out: "I think he's been slapped straight in the face by the competition in the Premier League.
It ain't easy. This is a tough competition." He added: "He looks lost at times on the touchline; he knew nothing about it," and noted Tudor's shift from "I 100 per cent guarantee we spend next season in the Premier League" to talking about fitness and injuries.
