If you’re not near the end yet, stop reading now to avoid spoilers. You can still go back and grab any Mr. Raccoon locations you missed — they’re independent of story progress, and once you shoot one it disappears for good. There are also Charms to collect that you might have missed.

Choosing to destroy Elpis is the bad, non‑canon ending and has one clear consequence: Leon dies. The ARK facility begins to self‑destruct, and Leon manages to get Grace onto a walkway above the platform before Zeno catches and kills him. Leon expresses that he’s happy he managed to save Grace, Zeno shoots him in the head, and the platform plummets and explodes while Grace escapes on the helicopter Leon called earlier.

The game even offers to immediately return you to the decision point so you can pick the other option. Releasing Elpis is the canon ending and adds an extra boss battle plus a post‑credits scene. Zeno injects Elpis into himself thinking it’s a super weapon, but it turns out to be an anti‑viral drug that strips him of his powers.
