Showrunner on Daredevil and Kingpin's Rivalry in Born Again Season 2
Charlie Cox returns as Daredevil for a second season of Daredevil: Born Again, reunited with Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk and other MCU veterans. The story picks up almost directly where Season 1 left off, with Matt on the run from Mayor Fisk and his Anti-Vigilante Task Force after Fisk imposed martial law over New York City, putting Daredevil and anyone who stands by him in danger.
Expectations are high that the rivalry will deepen this season; a renewed hand-to-hand fight would be their first since the final episode of Daredevil Season 3 on Netflix in 2018. Even without a single showdown, the setup points to the conflict reaching new heights, especially with Fisk determined to hunt Daredevil down.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane said both men rise to the level of symbols and begin to see one another as reflections, and executive producer Sana Amanat added that it was fun to play with those similarities. The series has long emphasised how deeply interconnected Murdock and Fisk are, their opposing causes forcing persistent overlap.
