When World of Warcraft: Midnight players spotted Cravitz Lorent offering the Shu'halo Perspective painting for 9,999,999 gold—the maximum a character can hold—they took it as a deliberate tease. Blizzard developers often tuck secrets into the game, and an item priced at the gold cap was a clear invitation to investigate.

In the same dungeon a fortune-teller named Soothsayer Sargle gives out daily fortunes that add to your inventory and can be traded. Christa suspected collecting them would affect the price: "I figured what if I had all these fortunes in my bag already," she says.

After assembling the fortunes, the painting's price fell to 999 gold. Christa bought the fortunes on the auction house to save time, though players can also speak to Cravitz Lorent on each character daily to collect all 13, or trade fortunes from a friend to trigger the discount.
