Silo is shifting its approach for Season 3, reworking the series into an origin story that plays out across two timelines. Jessica Henwick, who appears in Season 2's stinger, describes her role as a grounded, present-day journalist and says the new episodes will take viewers back to the beginning.

Henwick highlighted a scene that bridges the timelines: her character Helen presses a congressional aide, Daniel, about a devastating radiological bomb, and he leaves her with a duck-head Pez dispenser — the same small object that later becomes a forbidden artifact in Juliette's hands centuries on.

She called her arc a “minimized origin story,” rooted in the real world. The plan for Seasons 3 and 4 is to fill in the blanks between Juliette's futuristic present and Helen's pre-apocalyptic past, shifting tone and structure in the process.
