Raghav Saraf joined Zamp four days after his last high school exam ended in 2022, having met Amit Jain at a blockchain hackathon where he built a payment gateway similar to what Zamp was trying to build. The hackathon organizer introduced them, and Saraf accepted a three-month summer internship to try working with the team.

At the time Zamp had five to 10 employees, and Saraf took on large projects that accelerated his learning. By the end of the summer he felt he was progressing faster than he would in college and decided to stay, which required some convincing of his parents; Jain later recalled being "interviewed" by Saraf’s father in a coffee shop before the offer was finalized.

Over the next three years Saraf’s role evolved into cofounder. Zamp grew to about 80 employees and built a fairly global customer base, including top banks. Saraf leads product while Jain handles sales, customer relations, hiring and other functions, and the promotion was a gradual process that was announced in 2025.
